I'd like to think the presence of my camera made a difference, writes Maria Fleet after decades spent covering war, displacement, violence and suffering. What matters most, though, she says is how those moments of witness were only made possible by the trust placed in journalists by those who told their stories -- even when they were at their most vulnerable.
