Minnesota prosecutors ask judge in Derek Chauvin's trial to amend memo that downplayed witnesses' trauma

When Judge Peter Cahill sentenced former Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin to 22.5 years in prison last month for the murder of George Floyd, the judge cited two aggravating factors for going above the recommended sentence of 12.5 years.
